How Donna protects your data

What Donna is

Donna is a relationship intelligence app that connects to your calendar and contacts to help you prepare for meetings, remember important details, and stay on top of your professional network.

Donna does not read your emails. We only access calendar events and contact metadata — never email content or message bodies.

No stored audio

When you record a voice note or meeting, the audio is sent to a transcription service, converted to text, and then permanently discarded. We do not store audio recordings.

Only the text transcript and any structured insights you choose to save are retained under your account.

We don't train on your data

We do not use your data to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. Third-party AI providers we use for transcription and summarisation are contractually prohibited from training on your data.

Your notes, contacts, and meeting insights are used solely to deliver Donna's features to you.

Encrypted & isolated infrastructure

Your data is protected by multiple layers of security:

• All data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256)
• Row-level security ensures complete isolation between users
• OAuth tokens stored with encryption and revoked on disconnection
• No Donna employee can access your personal data

You control your data

You have full control over everything Donna stores:

• Export — Download all your data as JSON from Profile settings
• Delete — One-tap account deletion removes everything permanently
• Disconnect — Revoke calendar/contact access at any time

We do not retain copies of your data after deletion.
